VIC Records, cd, Florida death metal featuring James Murphy (Death, Testament, Obituary). After James had left Death (he recorded ‘Spiritual Healing’ in 1990), Obituary (recorded ‘Cause of Death’ in late 1990 with them) and Cancer (with whom he recorded ‘Dead Shal Rise’ in 1991) he started his own death metal band: Disincarnate. Soul Erosion demo 1992 was recorded, mixed, & produced at Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida Scott Burns (Death, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide). Alex Marquez was a special guest drummer on this demo; he appeared courtesy of Malevolent Creation, Solstice, Resurrection and Demolition Hammer. The demo ontains one extra live bonus track. The booklet contains the restored original demo artwork by Dale Vied (also Naphobia art). Restored and remastered by Achilleas Kalantzis at Suncord Audiolab, March 2024 (Vio Lence, Possessed, Varathron). This demo led to a deal with Roadrunner Records and Disincarnate released their well-received debut album ‘Dreams of the Carrion Kind’ in 1993.
