BMG,Cassette tapes. Do you still remember them? Those things with the double reels and a wide brown plastic tape that occasionally came loose and hung out of the case and could only be spun back into the cassette with a pencil and a firm wrist? Yes, there was a time when old-school sound systems included cassette decks for the express purpose of recording shows, and these "cassette" things were a standard part of any tour. Motörhead were certainly no exception, recording show after show. They contain gold, pure sonic gold, and they lay for many years hundreds of feet underground in a small cave owned by Lemmy, guarded by small, hairy centurions in Roman armor with small spears and bad tempers. Only the magic password would free them, and luckily Lem had written it down and left it in an old sketchbook for us (no, we won't tell you the password, although it was the words 'never never never'). There were lots of these grubby, dusty, greasy little buggers, including Lyon, Liverpool, Hamburg and Chippenham (!!), scribbled in ballpoint pen on the tiny labels and dated.... and we are pleased to announce that this unique collection of live Collection of live gems is now available in the series of carefully digitized Recordings called "The Löst Tapes - The Collection (Vol. 1-5)" for the world to hear.
