When 'Darkness Remains' was released in April 2017, all speculation about a possible drop in quality or a supposed status as a flash in the pan suddenly fell silent. Because 'Darkness Remains' also delivered the hoped-for NWOBHM-inspired thrill and thrilled the Night Demon faithful. At the same time, the album took a bold step forward, as the musicians were able to refine their songwriting skills, develop an even more individual sound and sharpen their weapons in order to consciously take a few compositional risks. With the fabulous single 'Welcome To The Night' and the accompanying video clip, 'Darkness Remains' also started as an album that includes numerous crowd favorites and live set classics, such as 'Dawn Rider', 'Black Widow', 'Hallowed Ground' and the fast-paced title track 'Darkness Remains'. The album catapulted Night Demon to the next level of development both artistically and commercially and was a decisive milestone in the band's career. The 2024 deluxe edition of 'Darkness Remains' includes the original album in full, enhanced by a new remastering by Night Demon six-stringer Armand John Anthony. Additional extras include a number of songs that were previously only available as territorially limited bonus material on previous album versions, including Queen's 'We Will Rock You' and a powerful version of Black Sabbath's 'Turn Up The Night'.
