ADDICTED TO BLACK VOL. 7: Cult Metal Classics/ Sonic Age Records, Black Vinyl The PARADIZE 7'' single has always been considered to be one of the holy grails of the Swedish metal scene. This is a historical private edition that was originally released back in 1980 in a micro pressing of only 250 units. The band started back in 1977 and at the time the band members were 14 years old on average. Janne Stark, the axeman of the band, is responsible for penning the prestigious Swedish Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Encyclopedias and of course for the mighty OVERDRIVE as well as a series of other great hard rock and metal bands that followed. PARADIZE was a short lived outfit that left behind this super cult single, of which "Caress of Steel" is a timeless sample of music greatness, a perfect cross of NWOBHM with hard rock. In collaboration with Janne Stark we decided to offer the two PARADIZE tunes as a 12'' EP, making it part of our Addicted to Black limited edition series. The vinyl record features band story, previously unseen photos and great remastered sound.
