Rhino, eypanded & remastered,

The cult album 2016 reissued: The "40th Anniversary Edition" of "Ramones"
On April 23, 1976, the debut album of a young band from New York was released. Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee and Tommy Ramone presented their self-titled first album "Ramones".
The record, which initially went largely unnoticed by critics due to its simply constructed fast songs and was even met with rejection in many cases, is one of the first punk rock albums and is today considered groundbreaking for the genre's emergence and development.
in 2016, exactly 40 years later, all four members of the original Ramones lineup have already passed away. However, the band, their music and especially their first album have long since achieved cult status today.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of "Ramones", the record has therefore been reissued as the "40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition".
In addition, there is an extended version of the album with the "40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition". The extensive box includes no less than three CDs and one LP. The first CD contains the original album in stereo as well as a new mono version, which was remastered by producer Craig Leon especially for the re-release. CD number two features rare demo recordings, single mixes and outtakes, including eight songs that have never been released before. The third CD contains the two-set live recording of a Ramones concert at the Roxy in West Hollywood on August 12, 1976. The LP also features the remastered mono version of the album. Rounding out the "40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition" is a hardcover book with information about the recordings, an essay by music journalist Mitchell Cohen and rare photos by photographer Roberta Bayley. All boxes are numbered.
A birthday gift that packs a punch: The "40th Anniversary Edition" of "Ramones" brings an important chapter of music history back to life.
