BMG, After the great success of "Blackout" and tours through Europe, Asia and America, the Scorpions went into the studio in spring 1983 to start recording "Love At First Sting". The goal from the beginning was to top the success of "Blackout". They succeeded, because "Love At First Sting" became the most successful album in the band's long career and produced classics like "Still Loving You", "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and "Big City Nights", which are still the highlights of every Scorpions concert. With "Still Loving You" they cemented their reputation as masters of the soulful rock ballad and sold over two million singles in France alone. "Rock You Like A Hurricane" is, with "The Zoo", the most frequently played live song of the Scorpions and comes up with monster riffs, paired with intricate guitar playing and Klaus Meines' unmistakable vocals. Both the legendary cover photo of the embracing couple and the black and white band photo released in the U.S. were taken by iconic photographer Helmut Newton. The album entered the Top 10 of numerous countries and managed to reach #6 on the Billboard charts in the US. "Love At First Sting" is out now as a 180g 1LP, pressed on silver vinyl.
