Description

Rise Above, first time on vinyl, limited to 350 copies worldwide, popular Rise Above Records artists, their third studio album, originally released in 2002, front laminated sleeve with insert,

sHEAVY (as spelt by the band) were formed in Canada in the early 90s. They were picked up by Rise Above Records who released four albums with the band. Synchronized was the third album for the label and it was recorded in Belgium with former Black Sabbath producer Mike Butcher. sHEAVY were once heralded as ‘the new Black Sabbath’; a comparison that didn’t go un-noticed by Tony Iommi himself. Mr Iommi duly arranged to audition sHEAVY vocalist Steve Hennessey in Los Angeles, with the prospect of him potentially joining Black Sabbath. Maybe Steve’s vocals were ‘too close’ to those of Ozzy? Who knows but it was surely a compliment of the highest order to be summoned by the riff god himself.
