Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings, ltd. 180g gold nugget vinyl, w/ insert, If the three albums before it - High Voltage, T.N.T. and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - had an increasingly high percentage of brilliance, Let There Be Rock was the one where AC/DC really found their place, not least with the title track, a heartfelt ode to primal, unadulterated rock'n'roll as expressed in the fastest, most irresistibly hair-raising piece of high-octane noise. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the rock'n'roll kings of AC/DC, Columbia Records / Legacy Recordings are releasing the band's back catalog in truly royal style: as a golden, limited vinyl edition. Each LP in this special edition comes with a print (30cm*30 cm) featuring brand new AC/DC anniversary artwork. This album was originally released in Australia in March 1977, the slightly modified international version of the LP was released in the summer of '77. The iconic band logo appears on the cover for the first time in its current version. Allegedly, Angus' amp overheated during the recording of the title track and caught fire!
