Hells Headbangers, digibook cd, re-issue 2024, KRISIUN require no introduction. For over 30 years now, the power-trio have come to define Brazilian death metal, and are among the country's most renown and influential bands - rivaling the likes of Sarcofago and early Sepultura, even. However, it is KRISIUN's first three albums - Black Force Domain, Apocalyptic Revelation, and Conquerors of Armageddon - that are the band's most legendary recordings, unmatched and unrivalled in their extremity, intensity, and sheer evil. KRISIUN continue to be an unstoppable force to this day, but this unholy trilogy of albums remains the band's most beloved, and for good reason. Originally released in 1995, Black Force Domain was KRISIUN's bolt-from-the-blue debut album, a verified classic the minute it was released. While some forecasting of the band's brilliance was already spread across their demos and the just-preceding Unmerciful Order mini-album, Black Force Domain's effect was instantaneous and utterly shocking: a hitherto-unharnessed vortex of absolute, ungodly EVIL set to the tempo of "tornado." Absolutely overwhelming but perversely addicting, this vortex KRISIUN created across their first full-length was proudly grounded in Brazil's pioneering extremity of the '80s and nearly equally so in early Morbid Angel, but the hideous and shape-shifting horror the trio created with those rudiments became something else entirely - and something completely, uniquely theirs. The production, too, on Black Force Domain sounded alien and confrontational in equal measure, further underlining its immediate cult status.
