If you are into Black Metal there`s no way you are not familiar with the relentless war machine far and wide known as MARDUK. Called to battle in 1990 on Swedish soil, MARDUK are generally hailed as one of the most hard-working, consistent and all-over influential bands the Black Metal scene has ever spawned.
From the very beginning spearheaded by the inimitable Morgan Håkansson, the only remaining member of the original line-up, MARDUK have throughout 35 years on the battlefield gone from victory to victory. Besides having constantly been on the road to mercilessly attack audiences worldwide, they have so far managed to produce an enormous output resulting in nothing less than 15 studio albums next to numerous EPs and live albums.
In order to honour this truly remarkable band and its outstanding legacy we are very proud to offer you a tape box focussing on the catalogue MARDUK have unleashed during the 1990s. This fruitful period saw them developing from a band firmly rooted in Death Metal into the hyper-speed Black Metal machine which found its culmination in the incomparably brutal album Panzer Division Marduk. Some may prefer Those of the Unlight for its unique brooding atmosphere while others may have a soft spot for Heaven Shall Burn… When We are Gathered due to its fierce Abyss studio production. One thing is certain: Throughout the 1990s MARDUK have created nothing but classics that are essential listening for any self-respecting Black Metal fanatic!
