Sanctuary, "Iron Fist" shows Motörhead in a decisive phase, when they saw themselves caught in the tornado of success and rushed into their next phase in true Motörhead fashion with such speed that it surpassed logic and reason and became the last kamikaze joyride of this trio.
Reissue of the double CD edition of "Iron Fist". In addition to the original album, this version contains the B-side of the Iron Fist single and 14 live versions of the Toronto concert on 12.05.1982. Motörhead's fifth studio album was originally released in 1982 and is the last in the original lineup, as guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke left the band after the completion of "Iron Fist". The latter was not satisfied with the album, although - or perhaps because or maybe just because - he produced it himself for the first time and the otherwise very dirty sound of the band came across a bit more sterile. Nevertheless songs like "Iron Fist", "Heart of Stone" or "Speedfreak" are in no way inferior to their Predecessors in nothing inferior. A similarly successful album succeeded the band only again in the 1990s.
