Between the living and the dead, the rivers of Hades flow, and those who dare to cross shall vanish into the gloom. "Profanus" is Mystifier's fourth studio album, originally released in 2001 and finally getting a vinyl reissue after 24 years. Opinions on this album vary widely, much like "T.W.I.S.G.T.W.M.I.D.L.H.", as it introduces a slight change in style. It is, of course, more polished and comes with a way different atmosphere than Wicca and Göetia, yet it remains a solid Black/Death Metal release. The album features of course keyboards and theatrical vocals, but not excessively—just in the right amount, as one would expect from Mystifier. The vinyl edition features new artwork and layout by Swedish artist Astrid Bergdahl
