BMG, After the overwhelming success of the last studio album "Love At First Sting" and the live album "World Wide Live", the Scorpions were under enormous pressure in 1988. The musicians withdrew from the pressure and barricaded themselves in the studio for almost three years, where they worked meticulously with producer Dieter Dierks on the successor. On "Savage Amusement" the Scorpions presented themselves more mature and demonstrated that in terms of production technology they belonged more than ever to the avant-garde of hard rock. Despite all the changes, the album was still a typical Scorpions work: a good pinch of barely restrained aggression and dynamics, beautiful harmonies and melodies, brilliant guitars and, of course, Klaus Meines' unique voice. No wonder that "Savage Amusement", released on April 16, 1988, seamlessly continued the success of the previous albums and became another worldwide hit. "Savage Amusement" is now released as a 180g 1LP, pressed on Curacao colored vinyl.
